An informative nonfiction board book for preschoolers that describes the first moon landing。 Clearly labeled illustrations with accessible text covers the Apollo 11 astronauts, their spacesuits and rockets, the moon landing, their return to earth, and welcome home celebration。 A useful book to include in preschool units about the moon, astronauts, and space exploration。

Not as entertaining as her other Hello, World! books。 Of course, baby may need to be just a bit older before she can appreciate this one。 Still nice and I'm glad to have it in our library。 Not as entertaining as her other Hello, World! books。 Of course, baby may need to be just a bit older before she can appreciate this one。 Still nice and I'm glad to have it in our library。 。。。more

I love the moon and I love rocket ships, so this book is awesome! It talks about lots of cool things, like the parts of the rocket ship, the people that went to the moon, and what they did there。 Daddy thinks it's really cool, too。 He had a lot of fun reading it to me。 He even made the big rocket blast off! This is a good information book for young students。 The picture quality is designed for the younger eye and understanding。 This book breaks down what it took for Apollo 11 to be a success。 The people involved, the training down, the suits, and what happened on the moon including quotes, and other occurrences that occurs while the three heroes that went to the moon。 Last, it is talked about how they came home, as well as what happened to the astronauts when they came home。

I like this book because Neil Armstrong was actually the first one to go on the Moon, not the second, but people have the seen the moon before Neil Armstrong, just not been on it, just seen the light。

A perfect book about the moon landing for littles。

Miss Sarah

This gloriously well-written and informative board book captures the wonders of the moon and the amazing achievement of Apollo 11。 Although the youngest babies won't get much out of this, this book is truly written for children, explaining unfamiliar terms and concepts in simple language that won't require a parent to fill in all of the blanks as they read aloud。 I thoroughly enjoyed reading this accessible but thorough exploration of the moon landing, and will keep it in mind for future recomme This gloriously well-written and informative board book captures the wonders of the moon and the amazing achievement of Apollo 11。 Although the youngest babies won't get much out of this, this book is truly written for children, explaining unfamiliar terms and concepts in simple language that won't require a parent to fill in all of the blanks as they read aloud。 I thoroughly enjoyed reading this accessible but thorough exploration of the moon landing, and will keep it in mind for future recommendations。 。。。more

Informative and relatively simply worded, but I am wondering how well these ambitious board books are really working for their intended audience。 Look - I love them。 But I am 42, not 2。 This is adorably illustrated, but it is wordy and probably would have worked better as a picture book for older kids。

There's a lot of words in this one! Mom and Dad liked reading it to me, but I got a little bored。 We can come back to this one, but it won't be as timely! There's a lot of words in this one! MOON LANDING is an easy to digest and visually fun read that follows the planning, executing, and returning of the Apollo 11 mission。 With colorful and lovely illustrations aside informative and simple facts, this board book is great for toddlers who love space! What I loved: The simple phrasing and word-to-picture ratio is ideal for the toddler audience, who will love looking at the spacecraft, spacesuit, and other details of this iconic mission。 With facts that are interesting, even to adults, this nonfiction book is all-around delightful。 I even learned a few new things about the first moon landing alongside my toddler。 Something I love about the HELLO, WORLD! series is that there are bonus facts on each page, so you can just read the main story or you can also delve a little deeper into what is depicted throughout the book, according to child age and interest。 Another fun surprise in this particular one is the turn-page of the shuttle ready for launch, which is made to be held tall-wise along with the countdown from 5 (beloved by my toddler who joins into the launch countdown)。Final verdict: This informative, engaging, and delightful read is ideal for toddlers learning about the world and careers around them。 Budding space explorers, mathematicians, and night sky watchers will enjoy this charming read。 Parents may even learn a few new facts about this important mission and amazing feat! 。。。more
